Position: Senior Center Coordinator

Wages: Starting at $11.92/hr.

Hours: Part-time

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Nutrition Manager, oversees the operation of a senior center and assists in organizing and carrying out activities and events for seniors. Serves as a resource for seniors for their questions and concerns. Prepares various service reports and maintains related records. Under the supervision of the Nutrition Manager, performs the functions of a meal site coordinator assisting with kitchen tasks. Monitors food handling and other food service functions.

Employment Qualifications:

  • Education:Good reading skills, and ability to perform basic math applications.
  • Experience:Prefer one year of experience working with senior citizens. Prefer some prior food service experience.
  • Other Requirements: Valid Michigan driver’s license.
